The purse seiner Shenandoah was launched in 1925, one of the early vessels in Gig Harbor’s commercial fishing fleet. She is now one of the last Gig Harbor-built purse seiners and one of only two vessels built by Skansie Ship Building Co. still in Gig Harbor. Built from these plans, she would make an excellent shelf model, or built a little larger, a show-stopping radio-control boat.
