My French is a little (O.K., a lot) rusty, but I think the title translates to “An Ancient Galley of 36 benches of oars with five rowers per bench.
While most people think of galleys as an ancient vessel, the type was used well into the Middle Ages by European powers. Their shallow draft and oar propulsion meant they could maneuver in shallow waters and closer to shore than traditional square-sailed vessels.

Don, most of our plans are available in GIF or TIFF format, which can be converted to JPEG with image editing software such as GiMP (available free online) I would suggest saving them in the more current PNG format, which seems to give better results with black & white line drawings.
